As the Pokémon GO craze sends legions of players scouring around cities catching virtual monsters on their smartphones, a Chinese restaurant has come up with a clever way to attract diners.
Melbourne's Lost Heaven Restaurant is offering customers up to 30 per cent off their meals if they can prove they have caught any of the rare Pokémon GO characters listed on its promotional flyer.
If diners catch any of the selected monsters, including a 'Kagaskhan' or 'Golduck', they will receive money off Chinese cuisines at the Bourke Street restaurant.

The cafe owner noticed it was between two "Pokestops" and paid $40 in real world money to attach lures to them to increase the odds of players finding rare monsters like the "Starmie" and "Poliwag" nearby. With the promise of owning a 'Cubone, Magmar, Abra, Voltorb, Drowzee or Magnemite' in the popular augmented-reality game, customers can turn their catch into discounted dishes.
But for those who didn't catch any of the rare Pokemon GO characters listed - don't feel disheartened about missing out on the 30 per cent off discount just yet.
